36 Graphic Novels to Use as Companion Texts

One of my goals as a reading instructor is to entertain my students. Yes, that’s right…I said “ENTERTAIN” my students!

I am not a tablet…or a computer game…and definitely not a cell phone, so why would they want to give their attention to me?!?

I find it to be worth my time to do what I can to keep their focus. One of my favorite ways to do this (right after speaking in fun voices and exaggerating with gestures) is through choosing graphic novels as companion texts.
